Every Day Holy: Rest Beyond a Day

Sabbath Saturday #9

Why limit rest to just one day? Imagine your life if every day was marked by a deep, settled peace—a daily experience of Jesus’ restful presence. God’s vision for rest has never been about one isolated day of the week, but about a life continuously refreshed by Christ Himself.

Romans 14:5 encourages this freedom beautifully:

“One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.”

Remember Week 4? We discovered the Sabbath wasn’t the ultimate goal—it was a shadow pointing to Jesus, the true substance. That means rest isn't confined to a calendar day or limited by hours. In Christ, the door to holy rest is wide open, every moment of every day. Monday mornings, Tuesday evenings, busy Wednesdays—they're all invitations to trust Him and find peace right where you are.

At Redeemer, we believe the rest Jesus offers transforms our everyday lives, making even ordinary moments holy. Driving your kids to school, working through your inbox, or navigating the routines of home life—all these become sacred spaces when lived in Christ’s presence.

Today, don’t box rest into narrow margins. Let the restful reality of Jesus flow into everything you do. Trust Him in the small moments and the big ones. Allow His peace to saturate your Saturday, setting the stage for a vibrant, worship-filled Sunday here in Wichita Falls.

Rest isn’t something to save up; it’s something to live out—every single day.
