Bound by Love: Jesus Holds Us Together
Together Thursday #15
What’s the glue that never lets go—the bond strong enough to hold families together through ups, downs, trials, and triumphs? At Redeemer Church, we know that bond isn’t an idea, a program, or even a great sermon. It’s the unbreakable, transforming love of Jesus Christ.
Paul prays for this kind of love to anchor the church in Ephesus, saying in Ephesians 3:17-19, “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength…to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge.” Paul believed Jesus' love was so central that it wasn’t enough to merely know it intellectually. He prayed for believers to experience it deeply, personally, and continually.
At Redeemer, this prayer shapes the heart of every Gospel Community (GC). Our GCs are where Sunday’s truth becomes tangible and real, transforming casual acquaintances into genuine spiritual family. Together we unpack Scripture, pray earnestly, encourage one another, and live out Jesus’ commands. But more importantly, we embody and experience His love—week by week, day by day.
This love isn’t theoretical; it’s practical and powerful. It binds us together when things get messy. It gives us strength to forgive, courage to confess, patience in disagreements, and joy in shared victories. It’s Jesus' love that empowers us to live authentically, sacrificially, and openly with each other. It’s His love that fuels our desire to welcome others into our GCs, creating space for new faces, new stories, and new transformations right here in Wichita Falls.
So if you’re longing for real belonging—not just attendance but genuine family—this is your invitation. Join a GC and discover the incredible joy of being bound by the love of Jesus. Serve faithfully, knowing your presence and gifts strengthen others. Invite boldly, trusting that Jesus’ love is contagious and transformative.
Redeemer isn’t just a place we go on Sundays. It’s who we are—a Gospel-Centered, Disciple-Making Family, held securely by Jesus' unstoppable love.
