All In: Every Home Counts
Family Friday #14
Think family discipleship is just for parents with young kids at home? Think again. God's vibrant, unstoppable plan includes every household—singles, grandparents, empty-nesters, and everyone in between. Acts 2:39 says clearly:
“For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
Notice, the promise isn’t restricted by family size or season of life; it's boundless and expansive. Every home matters deeply in God’s plan to fill Wichita Falls—and the world—with gospel hope.
Your home isn't an afterthought in the kingdom of God. Whether you have a house bustling with kids, or quiet rooms full of memories, your life is meant to echo the joy and truth of Jesus. Grandparents pour wisdom into younger generations. Singles invest deeply in friendships, discipleship, and hospitality. Empty-nesters mentor younger parents navigating life's challenges. Every home, every life stage, holds extraordinary potential to disciple others.
Just like Jesus gathered a diverse group—fishermen, tax collectors, young men, older women—into a tight-knit, family-style crew, He calls all of us into that same joyful community today. Your dinner table can become a gospel hub, your living room a place of meaningful conversations, your front porch a launching pad for discipleship.
This week, intentionally include someone outside your immediate circle in a simple faith moment. Invite a younger couple over for dinner, share coffee and prayer with a friend, or simply offer encouragement to a neighbor. When each home in our Redeemer family shines Christ’s light, the collective glow becomes a powerful beacon of hope across our city.
Every household counts, and every person matters deeply in God’s family. He delights in using each of us—right where we are—to spread the joyful news of His unstoppable kingdom.
