All of Life: Jesus Beyond the Meeting

Together Thursday #14

What if following Jesus was more than a weekly check-in? Imagine a faith that’s vibrant on Tuesday mornings at work, evident Thursday evenings at home, and visible Saturday afternoons in your neighborhood. At Redeemer Church, this is precisely what Gospel Communities (GCs) are all about—equipping you to live out the truth of Sunday throughout your entire week.

Paul gives us the vision clearly in 1 Corinthians 10:31, saying, “Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Notice, he doesn’t say “do Sundays to the glory of God,” or “do Bible studies to the glory of God.” Instead, Paul insists that every moment of life—every meeting, every meal, every task—is meant to magnify Jesus.

Our Gospel Communities exist because we believe in living out “ALL of Christ, for ALL of life.” We gather weekly not just to study Scripture but to equip and encourage one another to carry that Scripture into daily life. GCs help bridge the gap between hearing a sermon and applying it on Monday at your job, in difficult family conversations, or during casual interactions at the coffee shop.

Practically, this means intentionally asking ourselves questions like:

  • How does Sunday’s message about grace affect the way I handle conflict at work this week?

  • How does the call to love my neighbor shape my interaction with the difficult person next door?

  • How do Christ’s humility and patience transform the way I parent my kids?

Each GC is a place where we can safely wrestle through these real-life questions. Here, accountability isn't intimidating; it’s encouraging and life-giving. We commit together to take the truths of Jesus beyond our meeting—living them out daily, and then returning to share honestly how it went. We celebrate the wins, pray through the challenges, and keep pointing each other back to Jesus.

Don’t settle for faith as a weekly ritual. Embrace the fullness of what Jesus offers—a vibrant relationship that touches every corner of life.

Takeaway:
Take one specific truth from this Sunday’s message and live it out intentionally this week. Share your experience honestly at your next GC gathering.
