Week 49: Tuesday Discipleship Guide
-
Colossians 3:15-17
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
When evildoers assail me
to eat up my flesh,
my adversaries and foes,
it is they who stumble and fall.Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war arise against me,
yet I will be confident.One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple.For he will hide me in his shelter
in the day of trouble;
he will conceal me under the cover of his tent;
he will lift me high upon a rock.And now my head shall be lifted up
above my enemies all around me,
and I will offer in his tent
sacrifices with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make melody to the Lord. -
Ephesians 5:18-20
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Question: What is our purpose everywhere and always?
Answer: To praise the Lord for who He is and what He has done—letting all of life echo “Hallelujah!”
-
Psalm 150:6
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!”
Family idea: Before each meal, whisper “Hallelujah,” then recite the verse aloud together.
