Week 11: Thursday Discipleship

  • Psalm 85:8-13

    Let me hear what God the Lord will speak,
        for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints;
        but let them not turn back to folly.
    Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him,
        that glory may dwell in our land.

    Steadfast love and faithfulness meet;
        righteousness and peace kiss each other.
    Faithfulness springs up from the ground,
        and righteousness looks down from the sky.
    Yes, the Lord will give what is good,
        and our land will yield its increase.
    Righteousness will go before him
        and make his footsteps a way.

  • John 14:27

    Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

  • Q-How does justification through faith bring us peace with God?

    A-Justification through faith in Jesus not only makes us right with God but also secures our peace with Him, restoring our relationship completely. This peace is assured because the Holy Spirit pours God’s love into our hearts, continually affirming our reconciliation with God.

  • Romans 5:1

    Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
