Week 12: Saturday Discipleship

  • Titus 3:4-7

But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

  • Hebrews 9:11-14

But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

  • Q-How does God demonstrate His love for us through Jesus?

A-God demonstrates His love by sending Jesus to die for us while we were still sinners. Through Jesus' sacrifice, we are justified, saved from God’s wrath, and reconciled to Him, securing our peace with God and giving us reason to rejoice.

  • 1 John 4:9

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

  • *Establish a rhythm of cultivating devotion to Jesus.

*Learn and internalize the Bible memory verse.

    *Commit the catechism to memory.
