Come Find Rest: Jesus Invites You
Sabbath Saturday #1
Feeling crushed by life’s to-do list? You’re not alone. Our culture praises hustle, leaving us exhausted by the very things we thought would fulfill us. But there’s good news: Jesus steps right into our weariness, speaking directly to overwhelmed hearts like yours and mine.
He says clearly in Matthew 11:28:
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Notice, Jesus doesn’t say, "Come once you've finished your tasks," or "Come when you feel you've earned it." His invitation is refreshingly simple—come right now, exactly as you are. Rest isn’t something you earn; it’s someone you trust. At Redeemer, we believe Jesus Himself is our holy rest. He’s not just offering a quick break or a temporary escape—He’s offering Himself.
This Saturday, take Him at His word. Bring your worries, your unfinished tasks, and your anxieties straight to Jesus. Trust Him with the weight you’re carrying, because He’s more than capable of handling it. And here’s the amazing part: when you rest in Him today, you prepare your heart beautifully for worship tomorrow.
Today, tell Jesus about one burden that’s weighing you down. You don’t have to solve it—just let Him have it. He already knows, and He deeply cares.
Jesus is your rest. Lean into Him, let go, and watch how He refreshes your heart for worship tomorrow.
