Celebrating the Deacons at Redeemer Church

The Unseen Pillars of Redeemer Church

Today, we wish to shine a spotlight on the vital role of our deacons. At the heart of Redeemer Church is our Theological Vision, grounded in the conviction that every disciple, leader, and act of service glorifies Jesus on Earth as it does in Heaven. In this mission, our deacons are indispensable.

A deacon at Redeemer Church is far more than a title; it's a calling to be a dedicated servant leader within their Gospel Community. These individuals are steadfastly committed to the mission of our church, focusing on authentic, Christ-centered discipleship. With a Christlike character that permeates every aspect of their lives, they exemplify our core values: lifelong trust in Jesus, guided by God's Word, Mission, and Church, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Simply put, deacons are the lifeblood in our ongoing commitment to being a Gospel-Centered Disciple Making Family.

These dedicated men and women are nominated and recognized by their Gospel Community, not just for their servanthood but for consistently displaying the character attributes outlined in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. As culture-shapers within Redeemer, deacons and deaconesses are front-line examples of living gospel-centered lives, building gospel-centered families, and making gospel-centered disciples.

Encourage and Uplift

As our deacons serve selflessly, I call on our church family to uplift and encourage them. Feel free to respond to this blog post with your words of encouragement and gratitude to these souls listed below. Your input is invaluable.

"Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body." - Proverbs 16:24 (ESV)

Your words have power. They can invigorate, inspire, and re-energize our deacons, assuring them that their devotion and service are seen, cherished, and deeply valued. Let's rally behind them, celebrating their dedication and making sure they feel our collective warmth and gratitude.
