Weekly Discipleship Guide
-
Because God is love, and through Christ’s sacrifice and the Spirit’s indwelling, we are His beloved people—called to display His love in all we do, not settle for shallow religion.
-
This week at Redeemer Church, we return to 1 John 4:7–21 to wrestle with the question, “What is the Church?” The Apostle John highlights three explosive truths that define our identity: we live through Jesus, rely on the Holy Spirit, and move forward on a fearless mission fueled by God’s perfect love. Far from a mere human institution, the Church is a divine community born of God’s love, marked by Christ’s life within us, empowered by His Spirit, and freed from fear to serve a broken world. Join us as we explore how these realities transform our understanding of God, ourselves, and our mission together.

“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.”Meditate on this verse throughout the week, reminding yourself that our spiritual life is wholly centered on Jesus’ atoning work and God’s unending love.
