Weekly Discipleship Guide

  • Because God, in grace, has covenanted to preserve creation for the sake of redemption in Christ.

  • After the flood, Noah steps out of the ark into a world washed clean by judgment but still waiting for redemption. The first act recorded is worship. The altar rises before the rainbow ever appears. God receives the aroma of sacrifice and promises never again to destroy the earth in this way. He renews His blessing, affirms the sanctity of life, and sets a bow in the clouds—a symbol not of human progress, but divine preservation.

This week we remember that every sunrise and every harvest is evidence of God’s covenant grace. The world continues not by human strength, but because God has bound Himself to sustain it. His common grace provides the arena in which His saving grace gathers a people for Himself through Christ—the true and final Covenant Keeper.

  • *Establish a rhythm of cultivating devotion to Jesus.

    *Commit the catechism to memory.

*Learn and internalize the Bible memory verse.

  • Q-Why does the world continue after judgment?

A-Because God, in grace, has covenanted to preserve creation for the sake of redemption in Christ.

  • Genesis 9:16
“When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”
