Weekly Discipleship Guide

  • Only God’s grace. Though every heart is corrupted, God gives favor to His people in Christ, preserving them through judgment.

  • Genesis 6 is one of the darkest passages in the Bible: power without restraint, corruption without limits, and grief that touches even the heart of God. Humanity multiplied, but instead of flourishing in God’s design, sin multiplied too. Heaven’s boundaries were broken, creation was corrupted, and judgment loomed.

Yet in the midst of this sobering picture, one shining word breaks through: “But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.” Even here, grace preserves.

This week, let’s face the depth of corruption in our own hearts, remember that God grieves over sin, and rest in the hope of His grace in Christ.

  • *Establish a rhythm of cultivating devotion to Jesus.

    *Commit the catechism to memory.
